In a typical day, more than 100,000 passengers arrive and depart through Sky Harbor. With US Airways headquartered in the region and as a hub for Southwest Airlines, Greater Phoenix offers ultra-accessibility with direct flights from most domestic and international cities daily. Additionally, the state boasts more than 80 public and private airports, including Phoenix Deer Valley Airport, Phoenix Goodyear Airport, Phoenix Mesa Gateway Airport and Scottsdale Airport, owned by the City of Scottsdale and an attractive option for those traveling via private or corporate jet.

Greater Phoenix is one of the easiest cities in the world to learn and navigate. Connected by a sophisticated system of highways, the region also offers eco-friendly public transit options including a clean-fuel bus fleet, low-emissions light rail extending from North Central Phoenix to the East Valley cities of Tempe and Mesa and a bio-diesel Dial-a-Ride fleet.

As California as its neighboring state to the west, cities such as Los Angeles and San Diego are both within a six-hour drive. The US-Mexico border is less than four hours away via car, and cities such as Dallas, Austin, Albuquerque and Salt Lake City are all interconnected and accessible within a day’s drive. Additionally, Union Pacific and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad operate rail terminals in Greater Phoenix. Both intermodal facilities offer trailer and container capabilities.
