Incentives
Doing business in Arizona has never been better - or easier. The state offers renewable energy companies a bevy of strong incentives to help make their relocation or expansion seamless. Topping the list is the new Renewable Energy Incentive Program, one of the most aggressive in the country. The program offers refundable corporate income tax credits and reduced real and personal property taxes to qualifying companies. Arizona also offers net metering and a strong Renewables Portfolio Standard for its public utilities (15 percent by 2025). In addition, the state has the nation's most aggressive distributed generation requirement, a 30 percent carve out. Other available programs include Foreign Trade Zone, Enterprise Zone, and the recently expanded Research and Development Income Tax Credit. Companies can also tap into the Arizona Job Training Program, which helps create and retain higher paying jobs that support emerging and base industries in every region of the state.
