John Krueger Biography

John Krueger As Vice President, John Krueger provides site-selection assistance to companies looking to relocate or expand in Greater Phoenix, specifically in the renewable energy, aerospace, logistics and healthcare service industries. In his time at GPEC, Krueger has helped more than 30 companies relocate or expand in the region.

His expertise in aviation manufacturing services, logistics, and medical device manufacturing has attracted nearly 300 prospects for Arizona over the past five years. Aerospace and aviation investment grew nearly 7 percent between 2001 and 2006. Currently, Greater Phoenix is the 10th largest aerospace market in the United States, and home to approximately 300 aerospace companies that employ nearly 40,000 employees.

A California native, Krueger came to Arizona in 1993 to attend Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in economics and database administration. He worked with the NAU alumni association as a database administrator, and then in alumni relations working with donors and economic business developers. He began working with the Greater Phoenix Economic Council in 2001 as a research analyst, supporting the business development team with real estate data, demographics and wage surveys. John quickly moved into strategy and site selection, and then into a role as business developer.
